Noir in the City

Looking for an oasis for your next tea or java fix? Just take a stroll along St. Clair Ave. West's up and coming trendy neighborhood and discover the lovely cafe, Noir Coffee and Tea located at 701 St. Clair Ave W.

The atmosphere is pure zen with its Japanese decor. Assorted teas, coffees and sweets for your delight. Take a bite out of the ruby red strawberry rhubarb pie or try the sweet, crunchy snap peas with hummus while sipping tea or having a mug of steaming coffee.

So the next time you are strolling down the avenue, why not stop in and have a Zen moment?

Shopping along St. Clair West: One Girl Who........

You may be one girl who..............likes to be a little edgy. You may be one girl who...............likes to be a little funky or you may be one girl who.................likes be a little fancy.

The pretty in pink boutique on St. Clair West, One Girl Who strives to reach out to girls everywhere who want to unleash their inner............whatever makes them fabulous. The sister store to La Parpar Boutique, which specializes in baby items and women's clothes and Living Squared which focusses on home items, has made its mark with the store's array of fun, stylish clothing and delicate accessories.

One Girl Who sells Canadian labels, Fidelity, Blank and C'est Moi, which comes out of Montreal. The rest of their clothing items hail from Los Angeles and you can find the brands Yag Couture, Trinity and Shu Lami just to name a few.

This great store makes shopping a breeze as everything is organized by size with the manager being extremely helpful and very friendly. Black chandeliers hang from the ceiling add a slight edginess to the pink decor with roomy fitting rooms at back.

I give this store a thumbs up!

Necklaces and Bracelets and Charms oh my!: Smart Sass Designs by Eunice Tan

Jewellery. It is the icing on any outfit. It is what can make a seemingly plain outfit into something marvelous. It can also turn a seemingly stylish outfit into fashion roadkill.

This past Saturday I happened to be strolling down St. Clair Avenue West and came across the WychCraft Market, a weekly market featuring hand made and unique creations by Ontario's artisans. In the past, they have featured vintage clothing from Vanessa Pinkas and cute accessories by Camille Stone, but this time they had jewellery by Smart Sass Designs by Eunice Tan.

Her delicate yet ethnic inspired accessories are ideal for any fashionista with an eclectic taste or a lover of all things unique. Some of my favourite pieces were a gold chain necklace with a pink flower charm surrounded by beads and a silver chain necklace with a skull charm and purple jewels. Being inspired by everyday items, Eunice has created earrings out of chopsticks. Each of her intricately designed pieces have interesting names like, Royal Romance Bangle, Spider Choker and Ice Queen.

If you are ever in the market for jewellery that is eclectic, delicate and eco-friendly then check out http://www.smartsass.etsy.com/ where you can find Smart Sass Designs with a price range of $12-18.
