With the holidays coming what better time to wear the one colour that signifies holiday and passion? Natalie Portman attends a premiere for the upcoming Black Swan wearing a gorgeous red Rodarte tulle dress that exudes creative powerhouse. Anne Hathaway radiates in the strong colour in a beautifully draped Marchesa gown with flower applique. I just love how both gowns take advantage of what takes a dress to the next level, embellishment, applique and layers. Marvellous!

Over the last few months, I have invested in a number of blazers and coats and when I stumbled upon this picture in my iPhoto I felt inspired! I love mixing the glamorous basics, red, leopard and heels for an overall chic look.

Being in New York it is hard not to be inspired by every person you see walking down the street. Everyone is just so stylish. I have seen a fair amount of maxi dresses in all sorts of prints, purples and blues, fabulous bejewelled sandals and incredible shades. 

With all the stylish people strutting the sidewalk, which should really be called the catwalk, I decided to photograph the stylish lady in the above photograph. Always very fashionable, she usually sports looks from J. Crew and Top Shop while always putting her own spin on it.

It's hard to believe that fall ad campaigns are already being photographed with the sweltering heat here in NYC but that's just how the fashion industry works! Just when you are settled into one season out comes  the next. These photos are from Louis Vuitton's fall ad campaign and boy are they lovely! Photographed by Steven Meisel and featuring my new favourite model, Karen Elson, the ladylike 1950's styling with swishy ponytails are my absolute favourite! These looks are the right amount of retro style without looking costume-like.

Whenever spring rolls around I always daydream about soft colours and dainty little numbers. When I first saw these shoes I thought, "How pretty? How cute? They remind me of the White Queen from Alice in Wonderland!" So feast your eyes on these crystal chandelier heels from Prada because only they can make lucite look elegant.

Although I hate to admit it, spring is closer than we think and now with the 2010 Winter Olympic games over (Go Canada!) we must think of what's next. In just three weeks we have good 'ole St. Patrick's Day coming up and what better way to celebrate than in this emerald green sequined Burberry Prorsum mini dress. I just love long sleeved minidresses especially when accompanied by strappy heels.
